When fanzines ruled, street press reined and demo tapes were king, Sneaker recorded a group of songs intended to become its debut EP. With LP's fading out, CD's emerging and MP3's not invented yet, the 8-track reel to reel recorded by Glenn Santry at Heartbeat Studios (1996) got shelved for what seemed an eternity.
After 100s of shows over 3-4 years and ever changing line up of musicians from 94-97 Sneaker played shows in Sydney,Melbourne and Wollongong.
Regularly playing shows with band like Budd,Ricaine,Hardware and many others
Through time and circumstance the band drifted in obscurity and the recordings never saw the light of day until Michael got his hands on the original 8 track reels. In 2020 with the benefit of time and fresh ears Chris, Ash and Michael got back together in Wollongong with Chris Peruch and remixed the sonic renderings. 25 years to the day of the original recording, Sneaker is proudly releasing "its not my scene at all".
